Just spoken to a patient who would like us to pass on her complete and utter gratitude and compliments to Mr Andrews for his surgery expertise but most of all his care. Fantastic surgeon... In January 2017 I had a huge paraesophageal hernia repair operation done with Paul Peyser and Stuart Andrews... both stunningly lovely people... such relief to be repaired and healthy just had two more hernias done by Mr Bowling still recovering but so far so good. Thank you all for being so wonderful. How lucky are we to have such talented people in our local hospital... nurses and staff tip top too!!! Everybody was so kind. Thank you again x

After my wife was treated at the RDE hospital in Exeter the Consultant relocated to Torbay Hospital. Because of their considerable attention to my wife's problems and when she needed a remedial operation we requested it be carried out at Torbay Hospital to where they had transferred. They and their staffs attention prior to, and after the remedial surgery, was excellent. It then transpired that a small ancillary procedure was required from the Endoscopy Dept. On the two visits necessary the attention given to my wife was, again, excellent. They explained in detail the procedure and prior to and after were kind and considerate through the entire routine. We are very lucky to have a hospital in this region of the South West which, in our view, exceeds many others in it's detail to care to their patients.

Hi! Can I please just post a massive THANK YOU to all the staff at Torbay Hospital. Especially the amazing surgeon Mr Andrews. A very close family member needed life saving surgery after his stomach travelled through an existing hernia and twisted. Mr Andrews took it upon himself to save his life and carry out a 6 hour operation within 24 hours notice. Any later and he might not be here as his stomach may have burst. He is now doing well and recovering on one of the wards.
